| 1. Start with an empty desktop. |

| 2. See the icon in the task bar that looks like a little computer with radio waves coming off? |

| 3. Right click on it. |

| 4. Choose "view available wireless networks. |
|
| 5. A new window will open up called wirless network connection. |
|
6. You should be able to click the desired network once then click connect at the bottom, then it will ask you for a passphrase, enter it, then enter it again to confirm and click ok and you should be golden. In which case you are done! If this does not work continue on with the following steps. On the left should be some other tasks. Choose Change advanced settings at the bottom. |

| 7. Now a new window will open. Wireless Network connections. Click on the tab that says wireless Networks. |

| 8. Now click the "add" button. |

9. Now you're going to need to fill out some info. Exactly like this (including the correct capitols) SSID: Network name ie "Campus Life" Network Authentication: WPA-PSK Data Encryption: TKIP Network key: Passphrase Confirm Network key: Passphrase |

10. Now it should look like this... click ok on the bottom and click ok on any windows still open. After you click OK on any open window you should be connected. Open your browser to make sure.
